Boss DD-2 digital delay

boss dd2Although the Boss DD-2 does not show off with an extraordinary equipment, this delay pedal is definitively cult (8 of 10 points on my cult factor scale).
Even the lack of tape emulation, tap tempo, modulation and true bypass does not reduce the performance of this pedalboard-friendly 9V stereo pedal.
As the first digital compact pedal, the Boss DD-2 came along with a legendary chip and 800ms maximum delay time.
Compared to many modeling-delays, the DD-2 provides a pretty musical sound and seems to be less sterile.
Not only therefore, Pete Cornish choose the circuit of the DD-2 for the basis of his TES Tube Tape Simulator pedal.
For this reason, I don’t mind, dispensing with an expression pedal input and midi compatibility.
