Because of the request of one of my followers, I made this comparison of the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo vs. Echoboy VST. Check out the sound of the classic compared to different settings of the digital VST.
Because of the numerous requests regarding my favorite delays, I tried to figure out my top delays and I want to start this three-part series with my favorite tape emulations. The order of the delays within the respective group or video is no ranking for I am unable to tell which of them I like best. This is a demo of the BOSS DD-200 (http://www.bossus.com/). The BOSS DD-200 is a standalone pedal which is really compact, provides many features and can be extended extremely by connecting additional switches and midi.
This is a comparison of the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo with the Erica Synths Zen Delay For both delays do not have true bypass, I used a true bypass looper (Lehle Parallel) for the audio recording. I would like to present some sonic options by using different modes and filters of the Erica Synths Zen Delay and varying speeds and a higher record level for tape saturation of the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo.
This is a comparison of three different types of delays all accompanied by the Timmy. For this demo I used a classic analog delay (Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man), a tape echo emulation (Strymon Volante) and a digital delay (Empress Echosystem). For this demo I used a dark analog delay (DOD Rubberneck), a digital delay (Strymon DIG) and a tape delay(Fulltone Tube Tape Echo). The first 25 seconds you can hear a sneak peak of each type of delay accompanied by the King of Tone. This is a comparison of the Maxon AD-900 with the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo. The comparison of an analog delay with a tape echo might be a bit extraordinary – but these two classics can definitvely compete with each other.
