When I met Tim at SUPERBOOTH in Berlin in May 2022, I was still on the waiting list for the Dirtywave M8 tracker and was extremely excited about what to expect in September.
What I got it then, earlier than expected, it just blew my mind and it’s unbelievable how quickly the hours pass when you hold this little marvel in your hands.
The Dirtywave M8 Tracker has long since ceased to be an insider tip, even if it is only produced and offered in small batches. Continue reading “7 questions to Timothy Lamb (Dirtywave)”
Arturia MicroFreak with delay effect pedals
Arturia MicroFreak with reverb pedals for guitars
In this second part of my two-part series, I would like to show you how you can combine a synthesizer like the Arturia MicroFreak with reverb effect pedals for guitars as a small suggestion for sound experiments. As already shown in the first part about the combination with delay pedals, this relationship can also open up completely new worlds of sound. Have fun trying.
Roland SP-404MKII with guitar – hands-on workshop
During the breaks in playing, a slight hiss can be heard. This is because I used the compressor of the Roland SP-404MKII, switched off the noise gate to avoid choppy guitar tones and missed to turn up the master volume a bit. With the correct settings, you can reduce the hissing in the periods you are not playing/ recording, which of course can no longer be heard in the finished song. Since I first have to get used to this super extensive device, I’ve already made this mistake for you so that you don’t have to make it yourself 😉

Review: Donner Wave delay
The Donner Wave is a digital delay pedal with a delay time from 20 up to 620ms.
