The SOMA Cosmos is a very special looper that reawakens creativity and the urge to play. He encourages sound experiments towards spherical sounds and inspiring variations and always conjures up new possibilities. With a little practice and imagination you can use the reverse and pitch functions to manipulate the loops and switch through the presets as you wish.
With the different firmware versions (standard and rhythmic) of the SOMA Cosmos you actually get two completely different devices: A meditative and absolutely random looper, which has a life of its own in the loop length and which you have to follow while playing, and the more traditional looper, with random shifts and pitch effects, but they are predictable and easier to play. So it depends on the desired degree of gravity selected at the moment of playing. And if you dare, you can simply let go and follow the endless loops.
