Chase Bliss Onward – a sonic paradise in a pedal

The Chase Bliss Onward is a very special kind of glitch and ambient effects pedal. It was presented for the first time at this year’s Superbooth and the idea and sounds immediately appealed to me.

An absolute recommendation for fans of unusual glitch and freeze sounds. The Onward is more than the sum of the two effects. The interaction and the crazy error effects work differently depending on the sample size and always deliver new sounds. With the numerous hidden features, the effect pedal can be perfectly adapted to your own playing.

The Onward was developed together with Tom Majeski, who previously developed effects as Cooper FX and has now become part of the Chase Bliss team. Chase Bliss Mood MK II Demo Video

The Chase Bliss Mood MK II is ambient music in a pedal. Far away from the “happy accidents” that are hyped in many forums, you can learn to understand this pedal and thus create sounds that can become the soundtrack of your life or of a great movie. Of course you can also use the pedal as a reverb, MIDI synchronized delay or reverse pitch delay, but the Mood MK II can do so much more. It wants to play with sounds, alienate them and discover new worlds of sound. No matter whether with the guitar or the synthesizer, the sound is always marvellous and spherical. Compared to its predecessor, the MK I, the Chase Bliss Mood MK II has some features and sound options that definitely justify switching to the recent version.

So, go on a sound journey!

Last year (after several years of playing the guitar) I finally bought my first effect pedals: the Walrus Audio Slö, the Earthquaker Devices Westwood and the Ditto looper.
