This is a comparison of the AnalogMan ARDX20 with the DOD Rubberneck. These both analog delays create a rather dark sound. Each of them provides modulation and – if you also use the Amazeo for the ARDX20- also tap tempo. Find out more about the sound of different delay times and how both pedals may sound in the mix.
This is a comparison of three different types of delays all accompanied by the Timmy. For this demo I used a classic analog delay (Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man), a tape echo emulation (Strymon Volante) and a digital delay (Empress Echosystem). The Paul Cochrane Timmy is probably the best choice, if you are looking for a transparent overdrive. so, go ahead and find out, how it affects every single type of delay depending on the respective kind of playing (like dynamic playing, modulation, in the mix). If you are looking for a sonic sneak peak, check out 1:22.
This is a comparison of the MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe with the AnalogMan ARDX20. These both analog delays create a rather dark sound. This is a comparison of three different types of delays all accompanied by the AnalogMan King of Tone. For this demo I used a dark analog delay (DOD Rubberneck), a digital delay (Strymon DIG) and a tape delay(Fulltone Tube Tape Echo). The first 25 seconds you can hear a sneak peak of each type of delay accompanied by the King of Tone. Learn more about the how the King of Tone affects every single type of delay depending on the respective kind of playing (palm mutes, modulation, in the mix).
This is a comparison of the Freezification-mode of the Empress Echosystem with the Gamechanger Audio PLUS Pedal. In this comparison, I used different times for attack and release and altered the adjustment of the tone pot in the different sound files to create varying tonal colorings. Especially in the second file you will hear the sonic difference between the PLUS Pedals and the Echosystem. While the PLUS Pedal puts the layers on top of each other and fades out more fluently, the current signal of the Echosystem fades out completely before the next sound wave arises. Depending on the style of playing, this difference regarding the blend effect can be used quite purposefully.
This is a comparison of the Strymon Volante with the Catalinbread Echorec. Both delay pedals emulate the sound of the legendary Binson Echorec- a magnetic drum delay. Concerning the categorization of delay pedals, guitarists mostly refer to analog delays, tape delays and digital delay pedals. But this true classic is often overlooked because it is pretty rare and only available in used condition.
This is a comparison of the brilliant Strymon delays. Find out more about the sound of a new tape emulation, a dark, old and wobbling tape, a multi head disc style stetting and how the Volante and the El Capistan might sound in the mix.
This is a video about how to use the DelayDude Midi Sync Cables for a midi sync rig with the DigiTech SDRUM, the Strymon Volante, Korg Volca Keys and the Korg Volca FM. The bpm of the Strymon Volante have been synced with the SDRUM via midi. The Korg Volcas start and stop in sync and the speed is also synchronized with the SDRUM.
This is a comparison of the Strymon Volante with the Source Audio Nemesis. Find out more about delay types like tape, noise tape/tape half speed, rhythmic/drum and how both of these great delays sound in the mix.
This is a video about the marvellous Strymon Volante. For the Volante is an incredible extensive delay, I won’t even try to present all of its brilliant functions. I only present my 7 favorite settings instead.
This is a comparison of the Walrus Audio ARP-87 with the DOD Rubberneck. For the DOD Rubberneck is an analog delay pedal, I only use the analog mode of the Walrus Audio ARP-87. Besides, I also present modulation and how both pedals may sound in the mix.
