After a long time of waiting, the next SUPERBOOTH will take place from 15 to 18 September 2021 in Berlin.
In 2020 the SUPERBOOTH had to be cancelled, but this year the world of synth will be back in the FEZ in Berlin again. Continue reading “Superbooth 21”
“I have a question about two delay pedals, one of which I own and another I do not, but am interested in. You have demoed both on your channel, just never head to head.
The pedal I currently run on my board is a MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe. I love the pedal. I am running a professional tele through it into a Deluxe Reverb, and I love how it stays warm and doesn’t color my tone the way a lot of the digital delays seem to.
For some reason though, I am constantly looking at other delays thinking, “Ohhh, that will be the one I should replace the MXR with.” I am not looking to replace it, but, I don’t know why I keep looking at other ones.
This brings me to the other pedal, the Eventide Rose.
Seems awesome, and has that feeling of the MXR, but I cannot find any direct comparison videos of both.
I was hoping you could just tell me what you think about the two of them in comparison. Continue reading “MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe or Eventide Rose?”
“I am looking for a percussive delay with trails option, for I really like dotted delays of U2 and likewise. Should be analog.
Supa Puss, Memory Man or the Chase Bliss Tonal Recall? Or something completely different?” Continue reading “Which delay for the dottet delays of U2?”
This is a comparison of the Eventide ROSE delay with the H9 Harmonizer.
Get thrilled by different types of delays, modulation, reverse delays and the sound of both pedals in the mix.

This is a comparison of the Eventide ROSE with the Ibanez DE7.
Both of these digital delays are using an analog filter.
Check out some of their sonic possibilities at different setting, for slapback delays and in the mix.

This is a comparison of the Moog Moogerfooger MF-104 with Eventide ROSE.
To get close to the brightest setting of the Moogerfooger MF-104 I reduced the filter of the ROSE.
You will also get a demo of a darker setting, slow and faster modulation and how both delay pedals may sound in the mix. For pitch shifting effects, I added an expression pedal to the ROSE delay. Regarding the Moogerfooger, I used a square waveform modulation to create the pitch shifting effects.

This second part of the two-part review is about concrete functions like reverse and midi. And, of course, you will get my conclusion about this delightful delay pedal. Continue reading “Review: Eventide Rose – Part 2”
The Eventide Rose is a digital delay with some special features.
This first part of the two-part review is about the construction, the sound and the modulation of this delightful delay pedal. Continue reading “Review: Eventide Rose – Part 1”
This is a comparison of the Chase Bliss Audio THERMAE with Eventide ROSE.
To get close to the brightest setting of the THERMAE, I reduced the filter of the ROSE.
You will also get a demo of a darker setting, slow modulation and how both of delay pedals may sound in the mix. For pitch shifting effects, I added an expression pedal to the ROSE delay.

These are my favorite 7 settings of the Eventide ROSE delay.
Find out how a maxed filter pot will create bright repeats (0:08) while a reduced filter will bring out almost analog-like sounds (0:43). An envelope controlled modulation will produce a tape-like feeling (1:27).
And of course, I also used an expression pedal (3:00) for reverse delays with pitch shifting.
0:08 brightest repeats Continue reading “Eventide ROSE – My favorite 7 settings”
This is a comparison of the Empress Echosystem with the Eventide Rose. For the Rose is a mono pedal, I chose the single mode for the Echosystem.
Find out more about different settings of these delay pedals and how both of them can sound in the mix.

Just in time for the Summer NAMM 2019 Eventide launches the 51th algorithm. Namely, it is the Harmadillo, a harmonic tremolo algorithm that so many guitarists have already eagerly expected. Continue reading “Eventide Hamardillo – Harmonic Tremolo Algorithm”
