It’s no secret that I am slightly addicted to delay pedals, and there have been some brilliant pedals that really thrilled me. Therefore, I really enjoyed testing the BOSS RE-202 Space Echo for a detailed review for Amazona.de. Continue reading “BOSS RE-202 Space Echo: The DelayDude review on Amazona.de”
Like probably every musician, I love my instruments and effect pedals. And not just my own: I think every instrument, every pedal is a treasure that we must preserve. Unfortunately, even the best devices sometimes break. Continue reading “DelayDude – we give broken pedals a new life”
In this video I want to show you how to combine a synthesizer like the Arturia MicroFreak with delay effect pedals for guitars as a little suggestion for sound experiments. This synthesis opens up completely new worlds of sound and can definitely expand the sonical horizon. Have fun trying.
In this second part of my two-part series, I would like to show you how you can combine a synthesizer like the Arturia MicroFreak with reverb effect pedals for guitars as a small suggestion for sound experiments. As already shown in the first part about the combination with delay pedals, this relationship can also open up completely new worlds of sound. Have fun trying.

For my Telecaster, I use an analog setup: A Mad Professor Sweet Honey Deluxe, a MXR Analog Chorus, a MXR Carbon Copy into a Fender Custom Vibro Champ Reverb.
At the moment, to me, it is pretty difficult to adjust the delay time of the Carbon Copy. Surely, I know that there are apps to tap the repeats manually and then they will be shown on the display. At that point, I can re-adjust the time, play again, tap again and so on.
My question regarding that issue is: Do you know an app that listens while I play a note, and then shows the respective delay time so I can re-adjust the time easily? Continue reading “Is there tap tempo apps for analog delay pedals?”
This is a comparison of the JHS Pedals Panther Cub with the Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Boy.
Two dark and a bit gritty sounding analog delays with the same size and comparable features.
This is a comparison of the JHS Pedals Panther Cub with the MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe.
These both analog delays come along with comparable features and need about the same space on the pedalboard.
0:52 long delay time Continue reading “JHS Pedals Panther Cub vs. MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe”
This is a demo of the @JHS Pedals Panther Cub.
It is such a nice analog dark delay with modulation and tap tempo.
In contrast to many other analog delay pedals the Cub offers the possibility to pitch the signal by variing the tap devider by hand.
What a pity that JHS discontinued the production…
0:13 wobbly tape style Continue reading “JHS Pedals Panther Cub”
This is a comparison of the Pigtronix Constellator with the MXR Carbon Copy. These pedals are two marvelous sounding dark analog delays with a beautiful modulation. Just get inspired.

This is a comparison of the Pigtronix Constellator with the Ibanez Echoshifter ES3. For these two are quite new at the moment, I thought, that a comparison could be interesting for guitarists with a lot of space on the pedalboard as well as for those have only little space to spare.
This is a comparison of the Ibanez Echo Shifter ES3 with the MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe.
For one part of the circuit of the ES3 is completely analog, I compare the Ibanez analog delay to the MXR analog delay. Both provide modulation and tap tempo as well.

This is a comparison of the Pigtronix Constellator with the Seymour Duncan Vapor Trail. These two analog delay pedals offer almost similar features and provide cosmic sounds that create marvelous sonic galeries made of vapor and stardust.
