For its size, the Earthquaker Devices Ghost Disaster is a less pedalboard friendly digital delay. Actually, this combination of the Disaster Transport Jr. and the Ghost Echo is a hybrid pedal which can be used as a delay, a reverb or both in series. This is a comparison of the Source Audio Ventris with the Strymon Big Sky. Both of these brilliant reverb pedals offer sonic options like hall and plate reverb as well as a cloud/e-dome and shimmer mode.
This is a comparison of the DOD Rubberneck with the Ibanez DE-7.
The DOD Rubberneck has got much midrange and provides the rough sound of a marvelous vintage delay. By using the tone pot you can set beautiful dark delays. The Rubberneck is perfect to create ambient sound and soundscapes. The gain pot enables you to produce grittier delays. All pots are quite interactive and offer numerous setting options.
The special thing about the echo mode of the DE-7 is, that the digital created signal must pass an analog circuit with a JRC 4580, clipping diodes and analog filters. You can easily produce beautiful rhythmical delays. A switch allows to chose between three different delay “ranges” which can be fine-tuned by the delay time pot. Echo and delay can be selected by the mode switch.
In this video I would like to present the Delay Dude Clutch. The first Delay Dude pedal is a momentary bypass looper which enables the user to add delay pedals (in this case the Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man) constantly or temporarily to the effect chain while allowing the trails to fade out after switching off the looper.
Delay pedals are an absolutely great invention and in essence I wish to never turn them off. But sometimes you can emphasize the delay effect by a calculated activating and deactivating. The only annoying fact about delay pedals that lack a trails function, is, that they fall silent in the moment they are switched off. This is where the Delay Dude Clutch Momentary Bypass Looper will help restore the affection felt for the gorgeous delay pedals without a trails function.
