But not only guitarist can benefit from the effects of a delay pedal. Bass players also can venture into a new realm by using a delay pedal. But there is one thing you should take into consideration.

For the bass guitar I prefer digital delays. In contrast to analog pedals, digital delays offer the possibility to cut the low end in a certain way and therefore fit pretty well into the mix. If you are looking for a pedal which is suitable for a wide range from metal to ambient, and also want tap tempo, I would recommend a multi-delay pedal like the Source Audio Nemesis, Strymon Timeline or the Empress Echosystem. They are all quite versatile and sound really nice. And if you are looking for a space-saving option, the Walrus Audio ARP-87 might be the right choice.

And while you have become brave enough to try something new, this video might be an inspiration as well. Here I used the Gamechanger Audio Plus Pedal with a bass guitar. And an effect that always works is a reverb pedal.
So, be brave and try it out because a bass players pedalboard can bear more than a single overdrive pedal…

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

256,1683,1681,693,922,263,268,774,1061
335,2120,1798,64,251,2123,304,2090,1841,1042,248,2124,2121,2122,81,115,445,141,223,764,541,182
post-3693","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-7000-questions-to-the-dude","category-delays","category-digital-delays-pedals","category-empress","category-gamechanger-audio-hersteller","category-pedalboard","category-pedals","category-source-audio","category-walrus-audio","tag-ambient","tag-arp-87","tag-bass","tag-delay","tag-digital-delay","tag-echosystem","tag-empress","tag-gamechanger-audio-plus-pedal","tag-gear","tag-gitarre","tag-guitar","tag-metal","tag-multi","tag-nerd","tag-overdrive","tag-pedalboard","tag-reverb","tag-strymon","tag-tap-tempo","tag-timeline","tag-verzerrer","tag-walrus-audio
This is a comparison of the Chase Bliss Audio Tonal Recall RKM with the Walrus Audio ARP-87.
