\"7<\/a>The Crazy Tube Circuits<\/a> Echotopia was one of the most unexpected delays I learned to know in 2019. This is why I think, we all should learn a bit more about the man behind the great pedals from Greek.<\/p>\n

1. So many famous musicians are using your pedals- is there someone whom you wish he\/she would play one of your pedals?<\/h3>\n

Christos Ntaifotis: When I first started building pedals as a hobby back in 2002 I would dream that Tony Iommi, The Edge, Eric Clapton or Brian May would use them someday\u2026 Nowadays I guess that would really have to be a loooong list as I cannot think of only one in particular. Instead of one single famous guitarist I would prefer to inspire and influence musicians all over the world. It’s a dream so I can think of all of them<\/em> 😉<\/p>\n

2. If you would have to choose one single pedal or device, you will have to use for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?<\/h3>\n

Christos Ntaifotis: That is probably the toughest question for me to answer as it changes from time to time. But if I was in a desert island and had to use only one device it would probably be a multi-effects unit that would run on solar power as I would be bored to have the same single sound for the rest of my life.<\/em><\/p>\n

3. Is there a pedal of another manufacturer of which you wish, you would have invented it?<\/h3>\n

Christos Ntaifotis: Again the list could go on forever… From the top of my head… Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man and Electric Mistress, Boss BF-2, Catalinbread Echorec and Belle Epoch, Hologram Electronics Dream Sequence and almost everything from Chase Bliss.<\/em><\/p>\n

4. What does your recent rig look like?<\/h3>\n

Christos Ntaifotis: Nothing fancy here… I use the demo CTC boards<\/p>\n

5. Is there a question regarding your work, you would really love to answer to but that nobody asks?<\/h3>\n

Christos Ntaifotis: Tough call. Maybe a bit of in depth questions regarding the R&D (research and development) of a new pedal. How and when did the idea came, why did I have to choose the specific brand\/type of parts (capacitors,transistors, resistors, etc) and all the details that would make me brag about my new toy.<\/em><\/p>\n

6. Is there a question you are really sick and tired of?<\/h3>\n

Christos Ntaifotis: No, not really or at least not yet.<\/em><\/p>\n

7. Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently?<\/h3>\n

Christos Ntaifotis: Since the day that I made the decision \/ switch to go on designing\/building pedals for a living instead of only as a hobby I’ve made a lot of mistakes and probably will do more in the future, but there is a learning curve in all of this. If I could change one thing that would be to make the decision \/ switch a lot earlier.<\/em><\/p>\n
