And the effects that are produced under the leadership of the company’s president, Yoshi Ikegami, accompany me since my first days as a guitarist.
Therefore, it is a special honor for me that he took the time to answer to the 7 questions of the Delay Dude.

1. So many famous musicians are using your devices – is there a special user, you are particularly proud of using your pedals?

Yoshi Ikegami: Mr. Les Paul, we miss him. He sometimes changes distortion like DS-1,
SD-1 or BD-2, also other pedals like PN-2 or CH-1, but he always used TU-2 and DD-3.

2. If you would have to choose one single pedal or device, you will have to use for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?

Yoshi Ikegami: Waza-Air, right now. WAZA-AIR is perfect as you can always practice
easily, and the range of sounds is huge.

3. Is there a pedal of another manufacturer of which you wish, you would have invented it?

Yoshi Ikegami: No, only BOSS of course!

4. What does your recent rig look like?

Yoshi Ikegami: I’m using Katana-Air and Waza-Air at my home now; I love to play
with them. I also got a great new les Paul! It was a great present for my birthday!

5. Is there a question regarding your work, you would really love to answer to but that nobody asks?

Yoshi Ikegami: I designed Roland First LSI (Large Scale Integration) which designed as DSP.
We designed this LSI for DEP-5 (product was called SRV-1000 at the beginning though), also this was used for the D-50 Synthesizer.
If you can open this LSI, you can see IK initial on the chip, this project was called IK (IK-Egami) Project at semiconductor manufacturer.
Probably nobody knows it today.

6. Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently?

Yoshi Ikegami: No. I think we always worked towards a great future for BOSS and Roland. I had many great learning opportunities in my time at the time.
I worked for production from 2007 to 2015 as Global Production. It was good experience to me to work for Production, Factory Management, Procurement and Quality Control.
This experience helps me as product planning and design.

7. If you should have to choose a real job far away from what you are doing now, what would that be?

Yoshi Ikegami: I always liked to create something, so I might work for wood
crafting. Or, my father was car mechanic and I helped him when I was kid, so another
possibility is car mechanic.

Many thanks at this point again to Yoshi Ikegami who was so kind to answer 7 questions of the DelayDude.

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

1379,676,263,268
1798,99,1813,2063,1841,2766,1042,3092,248,1378,3095,329,2172,2279,120,115,3094,3093,2183,349,3096,2177
post-4717","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-7-fragen-an","category-boss","category-pedalboard","category-pedals","tag-bass","tag-boss","tag-effect","tag-effekt","tag-gear","tag-geartalk","tag-gitarre","tag-gruender","tag-guitar","tag-interview","tag-katana-air","tag-les-paul","tag-music","tag-musik","tag-pedal","tag-pedalboard","tag-praesident","tag-president","tag-roland","tag-synthesizer","tag-waza-air","tag-yoshi-ikegami
This is a demo of the @JHS Pedals Panther Cub.
