\"7<\/a>Regarding Wah-wah pedals, sooner or later, you will always find his name: in this issue the founder of REAL McCOY CUSTOM Wah-wah, Geoffrey Teese, is answering to the 7 questions of the DelayDude.<\/p>\n

1. So many famous musicians are using your Wah-wah pedals – is there someone whom you wish he\/she would play one of your pedals?<\/h3>\n

Geoffrey Teese: Wow. That brings back memories. The last time I was asked that question was 10 years ago, by Joe Walsh’s tech Mark Reis. Stephanie knew the answer and told him before I could. Carlos Santana. Of course, I didn’t know that Carlos was already using my wahs at that time, but that’s another story. There really hasn’t been anyone else since then. Things are kind of different now. I’m jazzed when anybody uses one of my wahs.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. Which was your very first effect pedal?<\/h3>\n

Geoffrey Teese: A Maestro Fuzz Tone. I’ve still got it, although I replaced the original short gray cable with a long yellow coiled one. Yes, I did that a LONG time ago. I used to gig with it into the mid ’70’s.<\/em><\/p>\n

3. What does your recent rig look like?<\/h3>\n

Geoffrey Teese: I think it is actually fairly basic and only the wah has varied in quite a few years: RMC10>Boss tuner>Z. Vex Box of Rock>Sweet Sound Ultra Vibe. That’s it. Into an old Ampeg VT-22 or Fender Blues Jr., depending on what’s needed.<\/em><\/p>\n

4. If you would have to choose one single pedal or device, you will have to use for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?<\/h3>\n

Geoffrey Teese: Hahaha. I can’t even choose one single guitar! It would have to be a wah – that’s the only effect that is really a part of me.<\/em><\/p>\n

5. Is there a question regarding your work, you would really love to answer to but that nobody asks?<\/h3>\n

Geoffrey Teese: Hmmm. No, not really. At least nothing comes to mind.<\/em><\/p>\n

6. Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently?<\/h3>\n

Geoffrey Teese: No, I don’t think so. It all kind of flowed the way it was supposed to.<\/em><\/p>\n

7. If you should have to choose a real job far away from what you are doing now, what would that be?<\/h3>\n

Geoffrey Teese: Been there, done that. No, really. I have. I’ve had to have a “day job” more than once during the past 27 years of RMC. I had a gig at a tool manufacturer in Oxnard, California, back in ’98. That was a no stress job that I really liked. I’d enjoy doing that again.<\/em><\/p>\n
