It started 2015 as an experiment of three technically well trained guitarists and turned out to be one of the most interesting innovations at the NAMM.

In principle the PLUS Pedal works just like the sustain-pedal of a piano. You can fade the signal of a guitar (or a brass or a woodwind) in and out or make it sustain nearly limitless. Especially ambient- and soundscape freaks will love the intuitive foot mechanics. Special kind of rubbers and the internal construction ensure that there is no mechanical noise when you use the switch.

The PLUS Pedal works like a “Smart Looper” that records the second half of a note or chord and reproduces it in a constant loop. This kind of sampling preserves the character of the instrument and the style of the musician. This new kind of technology is called “Real Time Audio Sampling” and has already been patent pending.

The design of the PLUS Pedal is absolutely extraordinary. The setting options are very extensive and can be adjusted by four pots. While “blend” regulates how much of the wet signal will be added to the mix and “rise” enables you to adjust the speed of the fade-in, the duration of the decay of the signal while pressing down can be controlled by “sustain”. The minimum setting creates a short and natural note while the maximum setting makes the note stay as long as the pedal is pressed down. And if, at least, you decide to take your foot off the pedal, you can adjust the spillover by the “tail”-pot. In this way you are able to bring up to 5 sounds together.

And I also think it is pretty exciting that the PLUS Pedal has got two outputs. The “DRY OUT” sends the clean signal constantly but can also be used to create a stereo-effect with two amplifiers or to split the effect-chain.
Using the Toggle Switch of your guitar you can adjust if a mixed DRY/WET- signal should be send.

The FX Loop enables you furthermore to connect the PLUS Pedal with any other pedal so you can additional modify the dry or the wet signal. By this you can, for example, put an overdrive into the FX Loop and – by setting the Toggle Switch to dry position – you can layer overdriven parts on top of clean chords.

By using the “WET ONLY” and the additional foot-switch you can completely mute the clean signal and modify the wet signal as long as it sounds like a cello or a synth pad.

And as if that were not enough by using a XLR-adaptor the PLUS Pedal is also suitable for vocals.

Click here for a demo video of the PLUS Pedal.

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

262,268,3
82,114,113
post-909","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","category-pedals","category-effektgeraete","tag-modulation","tag-smart-looper","tag-sustain-pedal
This is a demo of the @JHS Pedals Panther Cub.
