Mit dem DelayDude Midi Sync Kabel ist es problemlos möglich, den Digitech SDRUM mit dem DITTO X4 zu synchronisieren.
Das hat jetzt auch The Pedal Guy für sich entdeckt und das DelayDude Midi Sync Kabel getestet und für zauberhaft befunden („It works like charm“).
Der DigiTech SDRUM hat keinen Midi-Anschluss und der Hersteller garantiert somit nicht, dass eine Synchronisierung mit anderen Midi-Geräten funktioniert.
Man kann zur Synchronisierung mit dem DittoX4 jedoch die TRS-Buchse auf der Stirnseite des SDRUM (dem JamSync Output) mit Hilfe des DelayDude Midi Sync Kabels nutzen.
Dieser Anschluss ist eigentlich für das DigiTech JamSync System gedacht, um verschiedene Pedale mit einem 3.5 mm TRS Stecker zu verbinden.
Über diesen Anschluss werden normalerweise Midi-Clock, Start- und Stopp-Befehle gesendet (aber nicht empfangen!).
Um beide Pedale zu synchronisieren, habe ich das DelayDude Midi Sync Kabel entwickelt, mit dem ich beide verbinde.
Der SDRUM sendet nun die Midi Befehle und die Clock an den DITTO X4.
Wenn ich einen Loop auf dem DITTO X4 aufnehme, wird die Looplänge an die Beatlänge angepasst.
Nun kann ich den DITTO X4 starten oder stoppen, indem ich den SDRUM starte oder stoppe.
Wichtig ist nur, dass man den SDRUM zum Abspielen eines aufgenommenen Loops genau dann startet, wenn die Tempo LED des DITTO X4 leuchtet (also auf der 1,2,3 oder 4 des DITTO X4).
Der Loop des DITTO X4 ist exakt so lang, wie ein Beat des SDRUM und sie laufen absolut synchron.
Mit Hilfe des DelayDude Midi Sync Kabels kann ein SDRUM nun als Master-Clock für Delays, Looper oder andere Midi-Pedale dienen.
Das DelayDude Midi Sync Kabel ist kompatibel mit dem DigiTech SDRUM und ermöglicht es, den SDRUM als MasterClock für andere Effektgeräte mit Midi Anschluss wie zum Beispiel das Strymon Volante, das Strymon BigSky, das Source Audio Nemesis oder Ventris, den TC Electronic DITTOX4 und zahlreiche weitere zu nutzen.
Es wird an den JamSync angeschlossen und überträgt Midi Start, Midi Stop und Midi Clock Befehle vom SDRUM zum angeschlossenen Gerät.

The DigiTech SDRUM has no midi input and the producer does not guarantee that it works in sync with other midi devices.
To synchronize the SDRUM with the DittoX4 you can use the TRS output on the front of the SDRUM and a specifically made cable.
Actually, this input jack should be used to connect the DigiTech JamSync with a 3.5 mm TRS plug.
Customarily this input sends (but does not receive!) midi clock and start/stop commands.
By using this special cable, the SDRUM can be used as a master clock for delays, loopers and other midi pedals.
To synchronize both pedals, I created the DelayDude Midi Sync Cable to connect them.
Now the SDRUM sends the midi commands and the clock to the DITTO X4.
When I record a loop on the DITTO X4, the length of the loop will be adjusted to the length of the beat.
The DITTO X4 can now be started and stopped by starting or stopping the SDRUM.
To replay a recorded loop, it is important to start the SDRUM exactly when the tempo LED of the DITTO X4 is lightening (that means at the counting of 1,2,3 or 4 of the DITTO X4).
The length of the loop of the DITTO X4 will now be similar to the beat of the SDRUM and they are absolutely in sync.
