Fender Tweed Amp Sound Comparison – Princeton vs. Champ
This is a comparison of the sound of a Fender Tweed Champ with the sound of a Fender Tweed Princeton.
In the first part of the comparison I use a Fender Telecaster and in the second part a Gibson Les Paul.
The Amps I am using for this comparison are clones with the original circuit of the respective amp.
Vintage guitar-sound
There is a lot of speculation about the vintage guitar sound of a Gibson Les Paul. The modern models are not able to sound like an original 1950s Les Paul. Of course there are uncountable reports about the wood, the pickups and the stop-tail-pieces and this is why I do not want to concentrate on these topics in this text.
