For all the guitarists who did not get the limited Ghost Disaster of 2010, the Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master is a worthy and pedalboard-friendly replacement.
The mono pedal combines a digital, but analog sounding delay with a modulated reverb effect.
But the 9V pedal without a battery input lacks an adjustable modulation.
And it also dispenses with tap tempo, an inbuilt looper and expression pedal or midi input.
On the other hand, the 2 seconds of maximum delay time offer a wide scope for marvelous ambient sounds.
Many guitarists love the analog sound of the digital pedal which is still available in new condition.
But for the lack of some features I like a lot, the Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master becomes a 5 of 10 on my cult-factor-scale.
