Vintage-Delay-Sounds for the PSP BBDelay v. 1.0.1 – The DelayDude Presets

PSP Audioware has recently released the first update (v.1.0.1) for PSP BBDelay. It expands the factory library with new presets and fixes various minor issues reported since the initial release.

We are delighted to have contributed presets to this update, drawing on our extensive experience in sound design and our deep passion for hardware delays and plug-ins.

PSP Audio BBD Delay Plugin
Sound like the DelayDude: with the new PSP BBDelay v. 1.0.1, it’s possible.

The presets cover a wide spectrum—ranging from classic BBD delays and ambient sounds to modulation, unusual textures, and experimental effects—whether for immediate use or as inspiration for your own sound experiments.

For those who already own the PSP BBDelay plugin, the v1.0.1 update is free. And for everyone else, the plugin is definitely worth getting.

About the PSP BBDelay: a vintage Bucket Brigade delay plugin in a class of its own

PSP BBDelay

…is an analog-inspired delay and ambience plugin based on the distinctive character of classic BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) chips: warm repeats, organic movement, and musical imperfections that go beyond the limits of conventional vintage effects.

Inspired by a legendary BBD delay and ambience processor from the 1980s, PSP BBDelay captures the depth, dynamics, and instability that defined the appeal of classic analog delays. Thanks to the emulation of BBD chips, compander behavior, and the subtle imperfections of analog circuitry, every repeat gains texture and liveliness.

With features such as transient shaping, ducking, gating, saturation, modulation, tone shaping, and chip variations, PSP BBDelay covers a spectrum ranging from vintage echoes and lush spatial sounds to experimental soundscapes.

Musicians such as Hainbach —as well as mixer, sound engineer, producer, songwriter, and musician Alan Branch—swear by the sound of this plugin.

Many thanks to the PSP Audiowareteam for the wonderful collaboration!

We got our YouTube channel back

With a little help from my friends… or with much help from people I partly didn’t even know before, we succeed in recovering our channel “delay dude”!

We want to thank everyone, who supported us.

But our very special thanks go to Philipp Ernst (Bonedo), who was so kind to spend hours to get in contact with the YouTube support. He was the guy who did all the bureaucratic paperwork with us.

We also want to thank Frank Prager. Without your mail and your comments, we wouldn’t even have started the fight.

And special thanks to Eirik (Living Room Gear Demos), Peter Grandl (Amazona), BoBeats, Hainbach and many, many more!

We are so grateful, because this channel means so much to us and so much to my beloved father, who is fighting the cancer and who must endure so many cruel operations these days.

Thank you all so much!

Superbooth 2022 – A review

This year’s Superbooth was a complete success and there were numerous live acts, vintage gear, VIPs and several launches.
Sunny days at the FEZ in Berlin: The Superbooth inside of the building, partly in tends and outside area, sprayed some kind of the character of a festival. And the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. Continue reading “Superbooth 2022 – A review”
